Soursdey! We are Lzz & Chris. We run the Mettā Guesthouse & Restaurant in the heart of the charming small town of Kampot in southern Cambodia.
We are situated in the center of Kampot, only a few meters a away from the river promenade. All sights are easily accessible.
In our guesthouse we offer you four thematically furnished double rooms with private bathroom, air conditioning and a balcony with a charming view.
Our restaurant offers a delicious selection of plant-based dishes and drinks. Enjoy Cambodian and international creations in our lovingly decorated area on the first floor with a book and game corner, or relax on our rooftop terrace with beautiful views of Kampot’s river and the mountains.

Chef Bopha
Bopha is one of our two chefs. More information coming soon.
Chef Mao
Mao is our one of our two chefs. She is a proud mother of two children, has a quick mind and shows a lot of creativity. It’s almost impossible not to see her smiling! Mao loves the fresh air on Bokor mountain.
Housekeeper Champa

Our contribution to sustainability
At Mettā we give our best to be as plastic free as possible. We don’t use plastic straws and our food delivery packages are made of compostable material. Whenever possible, we use locally produced products in our house. Many of our foods and drinks come from small producers in Kampot and the region.
Supporting animals
We support local animal organisations in Kampot. We change the beneficiary on a regular basis. Choose the menu items or specials with the support logo or add a donation amount to your bill to support their work. We currently support the UCP – Unicat Rescue Project
